Kasahara laboratory

Our lab started in July 2009. Our primary interests are (1) omics researches based on large-scale data obtained by massively parallel DNA sequencers, (2) bioinformatics algorithms for omics researches such as sequence assembly, alignment and variation detection in hundreds and thousands of genomes, (3) algorithms and systems for genotype-phenotype inference, and (4) development of programming framework for parallel distributed computing to facilitate rapid prototyping of various types of bioinformatics software that handles huge amount of data.
